CTLT
Cadet Troop Leader Training (CTLT) is an invaluable training experience available to rising senior cadets upon completion of CST. Cadets have the opportunity to spend 3-4 weeks shadowing officers of various units across the globe. Through this experience, cadets gain insight into the responsibilities of an officer in their branch. For more information, click here.

"This summer I had the amazing opportunity of shadowing a QM 1LT during CTLT at Wheeler Army Airfield on Oahu. Being a part of 2-6 Cavalry Squadron 25th Combat Aviation Brigade for four weeks was an eye opening experience. I learned about the importance of sustainment as well as other tasks and responsibilities officers have. I gained valuable knowledge about the essential operations of an FSC, including ground vehicle maintenance, property inspections, and ESR processes for distribution and maintenance platoons.
My favorite moments include the UH-60 flight around the island, the night driving test with NVGs and meeting the 25th Infantry Division G2 Senior Intelligence Officer. Echo Troop I was with was extremely welcoming - they even included me in their intramural volleyball team. On weekends, I had the chance to explore different parts of the island by going on hikes and visiting the beach. Ultimately, this experience was transformative both professionally and personally, allowing me to gain deeper insights into my future responsibilities while immersing myself in a new and enriching environment."
