internships

Starting the summer after sophomore year, our cadets have the opportunity to attend a variety of military internships. From White Sands, Colorado to Boston, Massachusetts, eligible cadets attend internships in a wide range of fields and locations. Although competitive, Dauntless cadets have a long history of attending summer internships. Each experience varies in length, location, and unit, but every cadet agrees that this is one of the most valuable opportunities offered through ROTC. Continue reading to hear about CDT Brian Zisk's experience at his internship!

“This internship was with the Army Test and Evaluation Command at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. During this three-week internship, I was able to work with the Defense in a civilian style internship and attempt to restructure and design a new way for ATEC to pay their employees. During the internship, I worked directly under a retired Sergeant Major and a Colonel who were very helpful in their discussions with us. This was such a rewarding experience and contributed to my future goals like what I want to do with my career after the Army. I highly suggest that if anyone can obtain one of these internships that they do not hesitate to take it. I would undoubtedly do this internship or another if I was given the opportunity.”
